How to integrate Shopify Inbox with your Shopney Mobile App?

Shopify Inbox is Shopify’s free messaging app that lets you communicate directly with your store visitors and customers in real time. With Shopify Inbox, you can:

  • Manage and reply to conversations you receive from your customers on your mobile.

  • Send discount codes, product recommendations, and saved replies to your customers directly in chat.

In short, Shopify Inbox is a built-in tool to boost sales and customer service through live chat and integrated messaging.

Step-by-step guide to integrating Shopify Inbox with your mobile app

1- Download Shopify Inbox

First and foremost, navigate to the App Store and install Shopify Inbox on your mobile device, and open the app.

2- Log in to Shopify Inbox

After you install the app, click on Log in with Shopify(1) and log in with your Shopify account(2).

3- Enable Shopify Chat

Once you log in, click on Set up chat(1). You will then navigate to your Shopify app, and go to the Themes page(2). On the Themes page, click on Customize(3).

On the opened page, click on the three dots(4) and then click on App embeds(5). And finally, on the opened page, switch on the toggle and enable Online store chat(6) as shown below.

💡Tip

You don't have to actively use Shopify Inbox on your website to use it for your mobile app. You can use separate messaging apps/services for both if you wish.

4- Enable for Shopney Mobile App

Now that you have enabled Shopify Inbox for your online store, you will also need to enable it for your mobile app. For this, log in to your Shopney Dashboard and navigate to the Integrations page(1).

On the Integrations page, click on Shopify Inbox, and on the opened page, switch on the Enable toggle(3) and click on Save Changes(4).

5- Check the Shopify Inbox app

After you complete all the setup, navigate back to the Shopify Inbox app, and you can start replying to your messages and managing all your conversations from the Left Panel Menu.

All done! Now you can use Shopify Inbox and be in contact with your customers!
