How to direct Push Notifications to any page in your app

Direct your customers straight to the page you want them to go to with your push notifications!

Push notifications are a great way to boost engagement and drive user action. With this feature, you can choose exactly which page each notification should open, giving you full control over the user’s in-app journey. This flexibility allows you to create more targeted, seamless, and effective notification experiences.

In addition to improved navigation, you can also:

  • Offer quick and intuitive access to high-priority pages, allowing you to spotlight important content, promotions, or features and capture user attention more effectively.

  • Create more personalized and contextual experiences by matching push notification messages with specific in-app pages.

  • Drive traffic to high-value pages by highlighting important screens, such as loyalty programs.

  • Promote time-sensitive collections such as new arrivals or seasonal collections by taking users straight to the relevant collection.

Let’s go through the 5 simple steps to direct push notifications to any page in your app!


Step-by-step guide on how to direct push notifications to a specific page in your app

1- Navigate to the Notification page

Go to the Notification page of your Shopney dashboard.

2- Click on the Create Notification button

On the Notification page, click on the Create Notification button.

3- Select the Navigation section

On the Push Notification page, after your push notification title and message are set, you can choose what kind of page you want to direct your customers to under the Navigate section.

Home Page: By selecting the Home Page option, this push notification will direct customers to your app’s home page.

Product: Choosing a product ensures your customers land directly on its detail page within your mobile app with this push notification. To select a product, simply click on the Select a product button (1), choose the product that you wish from the opened page (2), and then click on Done (3).

Collection: When a collection is selected, the push notification will direct your customers to that specific collection’s page in your mobile app.

To select a collection, simply click on the Select a collection button (1), choose the collection that you wish from the opened page (2), and then click on Done (3).

💡Tip

You can use the filters on the left to easily find your products and collections.

Page & Blog: With the Page & Blog option, the push notification can take your customers to any page or blog within your mobile app.

Screen: Using the Screen option, your push notification can take customers anywhere in your mobile app, from the Loyalty page all the way to their Cart.

External Link: With the External Link option, your push notification can take customers to any page and open it seamlessly within the app. The link does not have to be already in the app; it can be any link, and it will still open within the app!

4- Select your Rich Media

Select a custom image for your push notification by simply clicking on the Set a Custom Image button.

5- Send your Push Notification

After you finalize all the details for your push notification, click on Send Notification to send your new push notification to your customers! You can either send it right away or schedule it to be sent at a particular time of your choosing.

All set! You can now create a push notification and direct your customers to any page in your mobile app!
