While using the default system sound works just fine, adding a custom, brand-specific sound can make your notifications feel more personal and memorable. How to customize push notification sounds?
1- Navigate to your Notification page
In your Shopney Dashboard, go to the Notification page first (1), and click on the Create Notification tab (2).
2- Choose your Push Notification Sound
When setting up your push notification sound, you can choose from three available options:
Default: This option uses the device’s built-in notification sound. It’s a simple and reliable choice that works across all devices.
Off: Selecting this option will disable the notification sound entirely. Notifications will still be delivered, but they’ll arrive silently. This is ideal for users who prefer a more discreet experience.
Custom: If you'd like to personalize your notifications with a sound unique to your brand, the Custom option allows you to do just that. If you choose a custom sound for your push notifications, it will be available for all your push notifications until you change it to another option.

📌 Important Note
The file must be original, in .wav format, under 30 seconds, and no larger than 2 MB. Copyrighted or licensed content is strictly prohibited.
Once all set, send the sound file to [email protected] with the subject line “Custom Sound Request – Your Store Name.” Our team will review the file and notify you once it's approved and implemented in your mobile app. |
3- Click on Send Notification to Finish
Once you’ve completed all sections, click on Send Notification, and your push notification will be sent with the sound you chose and will have your customers notice it!
All done, now you can send your push notifications with a sound and make them even more noticeable!
