Having issues with Rebuy integration?

Learn common Rebuy integration issues, how to resolve them, and keep your product recommendations running smoothly.

Written by Lara Soley

Rebuy integration brings personalized product recommendations into your mobile app, helping you boost conversions, increase engagement, and create more cross-sell opportunities. While the setup is simple, you may occasionally encounter minor issues that affect how the integration works.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the most common problems and how to fix them, so your product recommendations continue to run smoothly in your app.

Let’s go over the 3 most commonly encountered issues with Rebuy integration and how to solve them!

1. Rebuy recommendations aren’t working correctly

If product recommendations are not working as expected in your app, it’s usually because the API Key or Ruleset ID was not entered correctly during the integration setup.

To fix this, make sure the API Key is copied correctly from your Rebuy dashboard and pasted into the Shopney dashboard. You can refer to the steps for enabling the Rebuy integration here.

If you are using custom recommendations, ensure that the correct Ruleset ID is entered. For your Shopney app, use the ID from the Data Sources section in Rebuy, as website IDs may not work properly.

2. Custom recommendations aren’t displaying properly

If your custom product recommendations are not showing or behaving incorrectly, it’s usually because the widget type or rules are not configured properly in Rebuy.

To fix this, go to your Rebuy dashboard and make sure the correct widget and rules are set up in the Merchandising Widgets section. Shopney supports the Custom widget type for both the Product Page and Cart, so ensure your widget is configured accordingly.

3. Product and cart recommendations aren’t visible

If product recommendations are not appearing on your product or cart pages, it’s usually because the feature hasn’t been fully enabled in your Shopney dashboard.

To fix this, first make sure the integration is active and that your API Key and Ruleset ID are entered correctly.

Then, go to Design > Customization in your Shopney dashboard and enable Show Recommended Products under the Product Page section.

For the cart page, enable the Cross-Sell Widget under the Cart Page section and make sure Product Recommendation is selected.

If sold-out products are not appearing as expected, check the Hide Sold-Out Products setting under the Collection Page section. If the issue continues, review your widget settings in the Rebuy dashboard.

That’s it! Now you know the most common issues with Rebuy integration, how to fix them, and how to keep your product recommendations running smoothly in your app.

If you're experiencing further issues with how product recommendations are generated or displayed, we recommend reaching out to the Rebuy support team. Since recommendation logic and rules are managed by Rebuy, the issue is likely related to your Rebuy settings rather than your Shopney app.
