Growave Loyalty integration brings your rewards program directly into your mobile app, helping you increase retention, boost engagement, and encourage repeat purchases. While the setup is straightforward, you may occasionally run into minor issues that affect how the integration functions.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the most common problems and how to fix them, so your customers can continue enjoying a seamless loyalty experience.

Let’s go over the 5 most commonly encountered issues with Growave Loyalty integration and how to solve them!


1. Growave Loyalty isn’t visible in the app

If Growave Loyalty isn’t showing in your Shopney app after the integration setup, it’s usually because it hasn’t been fully activated in your Shopify dashboard.

To fix this, go to the Points section under the Rewards tab in your Growave Loyalty admin panel(1), and make sure that Ways to Earn(2) and Ways to Redeem(3) are set up and enabled. Then, please double-check that the integration is activated correctly by following the steps here.


2. Design elements for Growave Loyalty aren’t working

If the showcase or menu elements for Growave Loyalty are showing blank pages in your app, it’s usually because the API Key(1) or API Secret (2) wasn’t entered correctly during the integration setup.

To fix this, copy both values directly from your Growave Loyalty admin panel and paste them accurately into the Shopney dashboard with the help of the guide here.


3. Loyalty and Rewards features aren’t working as expected

Each loyalty-related action, such as earning points, redeeming discount codes, or referrals, is managed directly by Growave Loyalty.

If you're experiencing issues with these features, the problem is likely related to your loyalty program settings, not your Shopney app itself. In this case, we recommend reaching out to the Growave Loyalty support team for further assistance.


4. Push Notification Reward isn't working

If users are not receiving points after allowing push notifications, here are the most common reasons and how to address them:

  • Custom Action ID is missing or incorrect: Make sure you've created a Custom Action in Growave for the push notification reward, and confirm that the correct Custom Action ID has been added to the Push Notification Reward field in your Shopney dashboard.

  • The field has been left empty: The Push Notification Reward field is optional. If it's left empty, no reward will be triggered, so make sure it's filled in if you'd like this reward to be active.

  • Growave reward setup is incomplete: Ensure the reward is properly configured in Growave, including the points value being set and the action being active.

💡 Tip

If a user allows push notifications before logging in, the reward is saved and will be triggered automatically once they log in. If rewards still aren't appearing after login, double-check the above points before reaching out to support.


5. App Install Reward isn't working

If users aren't receiving points after installing the app, please check the following:

  • Make sure the Custom Action ID is correctly added to the App Install Reward field in your Shopney dashboard

  • Ensure the reward is active in Growave

📌 Important Note

Points are not assigned immediately after the app is installed. The user needs to log in to the app first for the reward to be triggered and the points to appear in their account.
