Firebase announced its plan to terminate the usage of legacy Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) APIs, effective June 20, 2024. As a result, specific APIs will be deprecated to make way for new, more secure, and higher-performing alternatives. The major consequence of these API decommissions is that FCM users will no longer have the ability to send push notifications using the Legacy API which will be discontinued in June 20th.

We’ve worked hard to handle the heavy lifting of the FCM migration so that our merchants are able to get up to speed in a couple of simple, quick steps. To make sure you’re set up for success when the depreciation occurs, follow the steps below.

IMPROTANT NOTE: You have to update by Google’s June 20 deadline, if you don’t your push notifications won’t be sent to users. There is no need for any app store updates.

Steps to follow to add Private Key(service_account.json) to Google Analytic integration

1. Navigate to Console Firebase (console.firebase.google.com) and select your project

2. Click to the Settings Icon next to Project Overview and select the Project Settings option

3. Go to the Service accounts tab and click Generate new private key

4. Upload the Private Key (json file)

See the related step on your ''Shopney Dashboard > Integrations > Google Analytics Setup Panel'' and upload the Private Key (json file).

5. Click Save Changes
