Everything you need to know about making changes on your Shopney Mobile App.

Shopney’s flexible and user-friendly system makes it easy to update your mobile app, whether it’s live or still in development. While some changes require publishing a new version, many can be applied instantly.

Let’s go over each section to see which changes can be made instantly, which require an app update, and how to update them easily.

What can you change in your mobile app without publishing an update?

You can update the following without publishing an app update:

  • Showcase Design

  • Sub-collection Types

  • Navigation Menu Items and Menu Styles

  • Quick Actions

  • Store Logo

  • Splash Screen (Opening Image)

  • Changing Review Provider App Integrations

  • Colors and Icons

  • Product Listing Image Scale

  • Abandoned Card Notification Timing and the Message

  • Enabling or Disabling Discount and Discount Message

Newly added products and collections must be managed on the Shopify Admin Dashboard with a couple of clicks to sync with your Shopney mobile app. Please see this guide to make it happen.


What can be changed after releasing an update to your app?

These changes require an app update:

  • Theme

  • App Icon

  • Placeholder

  • Some 3rd-Party App Integrations

  • App Store / Play Store Listing Information and Visuals


How to update these elements?

To update your theme, all you need to do is let us know which theme you'd like to have. We will send you a preview link to ensure the theme fully suits your taste. After getting your approval, we will publish the update.

To update your app icon, you need to upload it to your Shopney dashboard > Setting section and let us know. Then, we will publish the update.

To update the placeholder image, you need to send us the image and we will update it. Placeholder is the image that appears while your product images are loading. By default, it is your brand logo but you can customize it. The image size for the placeholder is 1536x1539.

To integrate a third-party app after launch, you only need to complete the setup in the Integrations section of the Shopney dashboard. All integrations will be activated right after the setup, but only the integrations below will require an update for activation.

  • Google Analytics

  • Facebook Ads

  • Klaviyo

  • Adjust

  • Branch IO

  • Appsflyer

Please let us know once the setup is complete, and we’ll publish the update to activate the integration.

To update your Apple App Store / Play Store Listing Information and Visuals, simply send us the new information you’d like to add and which section you’d like this new information to be added to.

For the Apple App Store / Play Store Visuals, if you want custom ones, please provide us with new images in the dimensions below and we’ll update them for you.
