To publish and manage your mobile app, the Shopney team needs Admin access to your Apple and Google Developer accounts. Admin access means we can log in to your developer accounts and handle key tasks on your behalf, such as submitting your app for review, updating it when needed, and making sure it is compliant with Apple and Google’s requirements.
Granting access is essential so we can:
Publish your app on the App Store and Google Play Store.
Manage updates and releases smoothly.
Keep your app up to date with the latest requirements from Apple and Google.
Let’s go through the steps to grant admin access to the Shopney team!
Granting Admin Access to Your Apple Developer Account
1- Sign in to App Store Connect
Go to App Store Connect and log in with your Apple Developer account.
2- Open Users and Access
From the main menu, select Users and Access.
3- Add a New User
Click the blue + button in the top-left corner.
4- Enter Shopney’s Details
Fill in the fields as follows, then click Invite.
First Name: Shopney
Last Name: Appstore
Email: [email protected]
5- Check if you have pending agreements
Before Shopney can submit or update your app, all agreements in your Apple Developer account must be accepted, and there should be no pending agreements. There are two types of agreements you may need to review and approve:
5.1- Apple Developer Program License Agreement, to review and accept it:
Go to your Apple Developer account.
If you see a notification badge or message about a pending agreement, click it.
When the pop-up appears, review the agreement and click Agree to confirm.
If there’s no badge or message, your agreement is already up to date.
5.2-Paid Applications Schedule (Schedule 2 to the Apple Developer Program License Agreement), to accept it:
Sign in to your App Store Connect account.
Go to Agreements, Tax, and Banking.
Check under Contracts In Process for any pending agreements.
Click View and Agree to Terms, review the content, and confirm.
This is also something we recommend keeping an eye on in the future, as Apple may periodically release new agreements that need to be accepted in order for us to carry out maintenance updates without delays.
That’s it! Please reach out to the Shopney team and ask them to confirm whether they received your invitation.
Granting Admin Access to Your Google Play Developer Account
1- Log in to Google Play Console
Go to Google Play Console and sign in with your Gmail account linked to your Developer Account.
2- Go to Users and Permissions
In the left-hand menu, click Users and permissions.
3- Invite a New User
Click the Invite new users button.
4- Enter Shopney’s Details and Send the Invitation
In the Email address field (1), enter: [email protected]. Under Account permissions (2), select: Admin (all permissions) (3). Then click Invite User (4) in the bottom-right corner.
Done! Please reach out to the Shopney team and ask them to confirm whether they received your invitation.
📌 Important Note
You may occasionally see a warning pop-up in the Home section of your Shopney dashboard. This is not an error — it's a reminder that Shopney needs admin access to your Apple or Google developer accounts to manage your app. This message may appear when:
Admin access hasn’t been granted yet
Admin access was revoked later on
It usually shows up when we try to publish an update or perform app maintenance, but lack the necessary permissions. If you see this pop-up, please re-grant admin access by following the steps above.
Shopney can only publish updates, fix issues, and maintain your app with active admin access.
