Completing your Google Developer Account verification is not optional; it’s required by Google. Without it, your app could be removed or updates may not be accepted. Verifying your account ensures:
Your app remains available on Google Play.
Your mobile app can continue to be updated seamlessly.
You stay compliant with Google’s latest policies.
Let’s go through the steps on how to verify your Google Developer Account.

When you verify your account, you’ll be asked to provide:
D-U-N-S number
Chamber of Commerce registration certificate
Certificate of good standing
Tax certificate
Steps To Verify Your Google Developer Account
📌 Important Note
Only the account owner can verify. If your account owner no longer has Play Console access, or you can’t contact your account owner, contact Google support.
1- Log in to your Google Play Console
Go to Google Play Console and sign in with the Google account you used to register your developer account.
2- Locate the Verification Section
Once logged in, you’ll see a notification or banner prompting you to verify your account. Click View Details.
3- Start the verification process
The steps of the verification process are listed on the screen that appears. Click the Start button.
4- Select your account type. Choose 'Organization' for any formal business entity.
Choose Organization Account (1) and click the Next button (2).
📌 Important Note
The account type must be selected as Organization Account. You are not a personal developer. Choosing a personal account requires extra obligations. This will prevent your application from being published.
5- Link a Google Payments profile that is used to verify your identity
Click on the Create or Select payments profile option.
6- Select a payment profile
If you have an existing profile, you need to select it (1). If you do not have a payment profile, you will need to create a new payment profile from the option below. Continue by clicking the Continue button (2).
7- Confirm your DUNS number
After you enter your D-U-N-S number, you'll see your associated business information. If this is correct, select Confirm.
8- First Step of Verification Process is completed
After confirming, the first step of the verification process is completed. Click Got it.
9- Carefully review your business information and D-U-N-S number
On the screen that appears, your payment profile information is displayed. Click Next to continue with the verification process.
10- Provide more information about your organization
Fill in the organization type, size, phone number, and website information, and click Next.
11- Provide necessary contact information
You need to fill in the contact information for yourself or your company that Google will use for any situation. After filling in and verifying the information, click the Next button.
12- Provide a public developer phone number and email address that will be shown on Google Play
You must provide both a developer phone number (1) and email address (2), and you'll need to verify both of these using an OTP. Once done, click next (3).
13- Review & Submit
Finally, review your public developer profile, and ensure all of the information you've provided is accurate. After checking the checkbox, click on the Next button.
Steps to Verify Your Identity and Organization
Once you've provided all of the required information about your organization, you'll need to verify your identity and organization by uploading official documents. Your Play Console home page will prompt you when you can do this.
1- Start Identity Verification
You'll see a list of accepted documents. Click on Start verification.
2- Verify your organization by uploading registration documents
Upload the documents to the required area (1) and click the Next button (2). In the following steps, you will also need to enter identity and address information.
All done! Google will then review the information you've provided. The account owner will receive an email when verification is complete.
