How to choose and use proper custom fonts for your app?

Since not all fonts are suitable for mobile apps, choosing the right font is very important. Learn how to choose and use the right one.

As there are many different types of mobile devices both on iOS and Android, not all fonts comply the common needs of these devices. So, we need to make sure the custom font you want to use in the app, suits all requirements.

Otherwise, it can cause functionality and UI create problems in your mobile app. Therefore, we can accept and apply only the fonts that suits the requirements below.

Once you select a suitable font, the rest of the process is pretty easy and handled by our team upon your request.

Steps you need to follow to enable the custom fonts

A. Selecting the fonts

1. As mentioned above, first of all, you need to select your custom font that complies usability rules. Google Fonts Library offers a great variety of suitable fonts. We recommend you to choose your custom fonts, but you can still suggest other fonts by considering the important note below.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you want to use a font that is not available at Google Fonts Library, the font use suggest must have a license. The font license and TTF file for the font you request must be shared with us.

2. We will request not only the singular font, but also the entire font family. So, you need to select a font family with at least three font weight, such as regular, medium, and bold.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Font families that do not contain at least three font weights will not be accepted. No matter if it is a Google Font or other type.

B. Enabling the fonts for mobile app

1. When the font file is selected to comply with all conditions, the relevant Google Font Library link or Font Lincence + TTF File should be sent to the us via email with ''Custom Font Request - Your Store Name'' email headline to [email protected]
