Custom fonts allow you to choose your own unique fonts for your mobile app. Because not every font works smoothly on all devices, this feature ensures the font you select looks good and functions properly on both Android and iOS platforms.
After you've picked a suitable font, our team takes care of the integration process for you, making it quick and easy. By using custom fonts, you can:
Stand out from other stores with a unique and stylish look
Make your app easier to read and more enjoyable to use
Give your app a unique and professional appearance
Ensure your fonts display correctly on all devices
Offer a smoother, more enjoyable shopping experience
Now, let’s take a look at which custom fonts are supported and how to enable the custom fonts for your app.
🔎 Available Plan
This feature is available in Enterprise Plan and above. |
📌 Important Note
This guide is about requested custom fonts; Shopney also offers 29 fonts, which are available under the Platinum Plan. You can learn more about them from here. |
Which Custom Fonts are Supported?
We support custom fonts that comply with usability rules. Google Fonts Library offers a great variety of suitable fonts, and we highly recommend that you choose your custom fonts from there. In case you want to use a font that is not available at Google Fonts Library, it must be properly licensed, and you will need to share both the font’s license and its TTF file with us so we can proceed.
Another thing to consider is that we will need not only the singular font, but also the entire font family. So, you need to select a font family with at least three font weights, such as regular, medium, and bold. Here are some examples of supported Google Fonts: Nunito, Rubik, and Lora.
🛎️ Reminder
Font families that do not contain at least three font weights will not be accepted. No matter if it is a Google Font or another type. |
📌 Important Note
While you can apply custom fonts, font size can’t be customized manually, instead the font size automatically adjusts according to your customer’s device font settings. |
How to Enable Custom Fonts?
Once you've selected a font that meets all requirements, please send either the Google Fonts link (for example: https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Nunito?query=Nunito) or the font license along with the TTF file to [email protected], and our team will take care of the rest.
Make sure to use the email subject line: "Custom Font Request – Your Store Name". If your app is live, an update will be submitted by our team in order to reflect the new font on your live app.
