How the Barcode Scanner Will Look in Your App
Once enabled, the scanner icon will appear in your app’s search bar, allowing users to tap and scan codes instantly.
Steps to Enable the Barcode/QR Scanner
To use this feature, your products must have barcodes added in your Shopify store. If you’re not sure how to do that, click here to follow Shopify’s guide
1- Navigate to the Design Editor tab
In your Shopney Dashboard, go to the Design Editor tab.
2- Locate the Enable Barcode/QR Scanner toggle
Click on the Customization section. (1) Scroll all the way down to locate the Enable Barcode/QR Scanner toggle. (2)
3- Switch it on to enable the feature
Switch on the toggle button (1) and click Save & Publish to apply the changes. (2)

🛎️ Reminder
The scanner supports both QR codes and standard product barcodes, but for barcodes to work properly, you’ll need to make sure that the products in your Shopify store have barcodes assigned in the Shopify Admin.
Please also note that this feature only works from the app’s search bar, so the scanner icon cannot be moved elsewhere in the app. |
