Augmented Reality (AR) has the ability to transform mobile shopping by bringing things to life in front of customers through 3D models that they can scale up, study from all angles, and even position in their surroundings.
With augmented reality, you can:
Increase buying confidence and help shoppers get a truer sense of the size, scale, and detail of your products.
Bring your products to life with a new technology to showcase realistic, interactive versions of your products.
Engage shoppers more on your mobile app and let them turn any environment into their own showroom.
Let’s go through the super-easy steps to enable Augmented Reality for your mobile app!
How will Augmented Reality look on your mobile app?
Once you enable Augmented Reality in your Shopney Dashboard, navigate to your mobile app to find the product that you want to use for Augmented Reality, click on the Augmented Reality button(1), and then place the product you want to view wherever you wish on the camera(2).
Step-by-step guide to enabling Augmented Reality
1- Navigate to the Customization Page
In your Shopney Dashboard, go to the Design section(1) first, and click on the Customization tab(2).
2- Enable Augmented Reality
On the Customization page, under Product Page Customizations, you will see the Augmented Reality setting. All you have to do is switch the toggle to enable it.
3- Save Changes
After you enable Augmented Reality, make sure to click on Save & Update.
📌 Important Note
To bring augmented reality into your mobile app, your store first needs to support Shopify AR and include 3D models in your product media (see Shopify’s product media guide to set this up). If AR isn’t enabled on your store and your products don’t have 3D models yet, the AR feature can’t be enabled in your app.
All done! Now you can enable Augmented Reality for your mobile app!
