Main Fields and Their Functions

There are three main parts in the Menu configuration section to help you build your app’s navigation with ease:

1. Menu Configuration Panel

On the left, under the Menu title, you’ll find a list of menu item types (e.g., categories, pages) you can use to create your app’s menu.

2. Selected Menu Items

In the middle, under Selected Menu Items, you place your chosen items by dragging them from the left. This is where you arrange your menu’s structure.

3. Display Area

On the right, the display area shows a real-time preview of how your menu will look on your app, reflecting your selected items and settings.

How To Pick and Arrange Menu Items?

Creating your app’s menu is a breeze with Shopney’s drag-and-drop tools. Here’s how to select menu items and arrange them to craft a navigation that shines:

1- Choose menu items

Drag your desired menu item types from the left field (Menu) to the center field (Selected Menu Items) in the dashboard.

2- Arrange their order

In the center field, drag each selected item up or down to set its position in the menu, then drop it in place.

📌 Important Note

The top menu item serves as your app’s default opening page. For a smooth user experience, make sure the Showcase menu item remains at the top.

How To Configure A Menu Item?

Customizing your menu items is simple with Shopney’s configuration tools. Click on the menu item (1) in the center field (Selected Menu Items), and a configuration menu (2) will slide open from the right side of the dashboard.

From there, you can:

  • Rename the Item: Change the menu item’s name to something clear, like Home Page or Shop

  • Align the Name: Set the name’s alignment to left, right, or center for the perfect look.

  • Add a Menu Icon: Choose an icon to pair with the item, making navigation more visual.

💡Tip

You can upload custom menu icons in any size up to 2000 x 2000 px. Sizes like 200 x 200 px, 1000 x 500 px, or others are all accepted. For the best appearance, use a square-shaped (1:1 ratio) icon with a transparent background.

What Is Quick Action and How To Set It Up?

Quick Actions are one-tap shortcuts that let your customers perform key tasks, like contacting you or visiting your socials, in a fast, seamless way. Here’s how to add them to your menu:

  1. Activate Quick Actions in the configuration menu (on the left side of the dashboard). Then, choose up to 2 actions from the following types: Phone, Email, Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Apple Business Chat, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, In-app Messages, Web URL, or Map.

  2. Once set, each Quick Action appears as a one-tap button on your menu, tailored to the action type you selected. Each action type opens up a page depending on the value added. For example, if you choose WhatsApp as the type and add your number in the Value field, then the button will direct the user to WhatsApp and open a conversation.

What Settings Can You Adjust for Your Menu?

The settings field in the Shopney dashboard lets you customize your menu’s look and feel to match your app’s style. Choose between two menu layouts, Left Panel or Bottom Bar, and fine-tune details like colors and icons for a polished design.

Menu Style Options

Shopney offers two menu styles to create a navigation that suits your app:

  • Left Panel
Your menu items hide under a menu icon in the top-left corner and slide open as a panel on the left side of your app when tapped.

  • Bottom Bar
The first 4 menu items appear in a bar at the bottom of your app, with the remaining items nested under a More icon on the far right of the bar.

💡Tip

When using the Bottom Bar, you can enable the More toggle in the menu configuration panel to add a hamburger icon as the fifth item. This lets you nest extra menu items that reveal a list when clicked. Disable it to keep just four items on the bottom bar, simplifying the layout with no nesting or extra menu.

🔔 Reminder

When using the Bottom Bar menu style, pick a main color for all menu fonts and a selected color for the active item. Add an icon for the More item on the right to hide extra options in a neat list. This keeps your menu neat and tailored!

All set! Now, it's time to build a navigation menu like a pro!
