Having issues with Nosto integration?

Nosto integration provides personalized product recommendations to improve user experience and drive sales. However, during setup or use, you might encounter certain challenges that can affect its functionality. This document outlines the most common issues and offers step-by-step solutions to help you resolve them quickly and efficiently.



1. Ensuring the Correct Token secret

A. The Nosto Token secret may not have been entered correctly. Ensure that Token secret is entered correctly.

B. Each widget created in the Nosto dashboard corresponds to the "Custom" type on the Shopney side. If a custom recommendation is to be used, the ID of the applied rule must be entered correctly. The ID entered for the website is different from the ID used for the mobile device. To enter the correct ID for the mobile device, the ID of the relevant widget created in the Nosto Dashboard should be used

2. Proper Widget Configuration in Nosto

To provide custom recommendations, it must be ensured that the correct widget type and rules are selected in Nosto.

Shopney supports the "Custom" widget type in both the Product Page and Cart sections, and recommendations are displayed in these areas on the mobile app.

3. Product Page&Cart Recommendations Not Displaying

A. Ensure that the integration is active and the Token secret are entered correctly.

B. In order for the recommendations set on the product detail page to appear, the "Show Recommended Products" option must be enabled in the Product Page section under Design > Customization in the Shopney dashboard.

C. In order for the recommendations set on the Cart page to appear, the "Enable Cross-Sell Widget" option must be enabled in the Cart Page section under Design > Customization in the Shopney dashboard, and the "Product Recommendation" option must be active.

D. Sold-out products are typically included on product detail pages but excluded from the Cart page by default. If sold-out products aren’t appearing on product detail pages, the "Hide Sold-Out Products" option must be disabled in the Collection Page section under Design > Customization in the Shopney dashboard.

3. Scheduling Not Working on Mobile App

Even if a recommendation is scheduled correctly in the Nosto Dashboard and the schedule works on the website, the Shopney mobile app does not currently support scheduling.

Recommendations will always appear on the Product Detail Page (PDP) in the mobile app, regardless of the schedule settings applied in Nosto.

Please note that scheduling rules set in Nosto will not take effect on the mobile app at this time.
