Shopney’s Pre-Order feature lets customers purchase products before they are available, while Coming Soon allows you to display upcoming products without enabling purchases. These features help you build demand in advance, collect early orders, and prepare customers for upcoming launches. In this article, you’ll learn how to set up and manage Pre-Order and Coming Soon in your Shopney Dashboard to support smoother and more effective launches.

How will the 'Pre-Order' and 'Coming Soon' features appear in your app?
Once you enable Pre-Order and Coming Soon features, the highlighted sections will appear on your mobile app’s Product Detail Pages.
How to set up the Pre-Order feature?
1- Navigate to the Customization section
In your Shopney Dashboard, go to the Design section first (1), and click on the Customization tab (2). This is where you can find the Pre-Order feature settings along with other customization features Shopney offers. From there, scroll down to locate the Enable Pre Order & Coming Soon toggle (3) and click Configure (4).
2- Choose the Pre-Order feature
On the opened page, click the Add New button first.
Then, you’ll be asked to pick which feature you want to use in the pop-up page. From here, choose Pre-Order (1) and click Continue (2).
3- Set conditions for Pre-Order products
Once you choose to activate the Pre-Order option, you’ll be asked to select which products it should apply to. You can do this by setting one or more of the following conditions:
Product Tag
Product Type
Product Metafield
Vendor
Variant Metafield
Customer Metafield
Customer Tag
Authentication Status

You can use Authentication Status to show Pre-Order options only to logged-in users, and Customer Tag to create exclusive Pre-Order access for specific customer groups. |
4- Configure the Pre-Order message
In the next section, you’ll set the message that informs customers about the product’s shipping timeline. You can add a Prefix and a Default Message, such as Estimated Delivery: August 1st, or use Dynamic Text. You can also preview how the message will appear to your customers.
📌 Important Note
To use the Dynamic Message field, the related metafield must be added beforehand. If you don’t see any content to be linked here, you can check this detailed guide by Shopify to learn how to create metafields for your online store.
Lastly, you can choose whether the product page button should display Pre-Order or keep the standard Add to Cart text. Once done, click Save to proceed.
5- Save your settings
Once you click Save, your Pre-Order configuration will appear as an editable item. You can edit, copy, or delete it at any time from the Pre-Order & Coming Soon section. As the final step, click Done and Save & Update to activate the Pre-Order feature.
How to set up the Coming Soon feature?
1- Navigate to the Customization section

Supported metafield definitions are Products, Variants, and Customers. You can use only the following metafield types as content or titles: Date and Time, Date, Dimension, Decimal, Integer, Multi-line text, Single-line text, True or False, Color, URL, and Rich Text.
4- Configure the Coming Soon message
In the next section, you’ll set the message that informs customers about the product’s availability date. You can add a Prefix and a Default Message, such as Dropping on: August 1st, or use Dynamic Text. You can also preview how the message will appear to your customers, then click Save to proceed.
5- Save your settings
Once you click Save, your Coming Soon configuration will appear as an editable item. You can edit, copy, or delete it at any time from the Pre-Order & Coming Soon section. As the final step, click Done and Save & Update to activate the Coming Soon feature.

To use these features correctly, it’s important to understand how they work differently:
Pre-Order: Lets customers buy the product now, even though it’s not in stock yet. It shows the estimated delivery time on the product page.
✅ Customers can add the product to their cart and place an order.
Coming Soon: Lets customers see the product in advance, but not buy it yet. It shows the date the product will become available.
🚫 Customers cannot add the product to their cart until it becomes available.
