Let’s go through how Product Labels & Badges features will appear on your app and the easy steps on how to enable them!
How will Product Labels & Badges look on your mobile app?
Once you enable Product Labels & Badges, they will appear on your mobile app’s Home Page, Product Listing Page and Product Detail Pages.
How to set up Product Labels with text?
1- Navigate to the Customization section
In your Shopney Dashboard, go to the Design section first (1), and click on the Customization tab (2). This is where you can find the Product Labels & Badges feature settings along with other customization features Shopney offers.
From there, scroll down to locate the Product Labels & Badges toggle (3) and click Configure (4).
2- Choose the Text option
On the opened page, click the Add New button first.
Then, you’ll see the screen where you can select between Text (Labels) or Image (Badges). From here, choose Text (1) and click Continue (2).
3- Set conditions for Product Labels
Once you choose to activate the Text option, you’ll be asked to select which products the Labels should apply to. You can do this by setting one or more of the following conditions:
Product Tag
Product Type
Product Metafield
Vendor
Customer Metafield
Customer Tag
Authentication Status
📌 Important Note
To use the Metafields option with Product Labels and Badges, the related metafield must be created in your Shopify store beforehand. If no content appears to link, refer to Shopify’s guide on creating metafields for your online store.
Shopney supports Products, Variants, and Customers as metafield definitions. You can use the following metafield types as label content or titles: Date and Time, Date, Dimension, Decimal, Integer, Multi-line text, Single-line text, True or False, Color, URL, and Rich Text.
💡 Tip
You can use Authentication Status to show specific Product Labels & Badges only to guests or logged-in users, and Customer Tag to display Product Labels & Badges for specific customer groups. |
4- Configure the Product Labels
In the next section, you’ll configure how the Product Label text appears in your app. You can set the label title manually and enhance it using Dynamic Value, which adds real-time data such as sale amounts, sale percentages, remaining inventory, or metafields to the title text instead of replacing it.
You can also enable Use Metafield to fully replace the label title with a value pulled from a metafield. After setting the label text, you can choose where it is displayed, adjust its position and corner style, customize background and text colors, preview how it will appear, and choose to hide it for sold-out products.
💡 Tip
You can use Dynamic Value to add real-time text as part of the label title, such as “% (metafield) OFF” where the value updates dynamically. If you want to fully replace the label title, use the Use Metafield setting, which lets you display content directly from metafields and personalize messages using customer metafields for different shoppers. |
You can also set a Schedule for your badge to automatically publish and unpublish at specific dates and times; we will explore how to do that later in the guide. Once you’re done configuring your Product Labels, click Save to proceed.
5- Save your settings
Once you click Save, your Product Label configuration will appear as an editable item. You can edit, copy, or delete it at any time from the Product Labels & Badges section. As the final step, click Done and Save & Update to activate the labels in your app.

How to Schedule Product Badges?
Product Badges can be scheduled, letting you set an automatic publish and unpublish date for your badge campaigns, making it perfect for flash sales, seasonal promotions, or limited-time offers.
To configure your schedule setup, from Product Labels & Badges, open your badge's Badge Details, and select the Schedule.
You will be able to configure the following:
Publish date – when the badge should automatically go live
Timezone – the timezone your dates should be calculated in
Unpublish date – when the badge should automatically be removed
Once scheduling is set up, your scheduled badges will always be in one of three statuses. While the publish date hasn't arrived yet, the campaign stays Scheduled and won't appear in the mobile app. Once the publish date arrives, the campaign automatically switches to Live and becomes visible to shoppers.
Then, once the unpublish date passes, the campaign moves to Expired and is automatically removed from the app, so you never have to worry about outdated badges lingering on your storefront.
🔔 Reminder
If you don't enable scheduling, your badge becomes Live immediately once saved.
